The Scottish Funding Council (SFC) is to give £6.9 million to the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) for the coming academic year. With campuses in Aberdeen, Ayr and Edinburgh, the SAC was, until June, the only remaining institution providing higher education to be funded directly by the Government through the Rural and Environment Research and Analysis directorate. Now designated a higher education institution, its change in status brings the number of SFC-funded institutions to 20.
