A new centre is to bring together experts on the health of pregnant women and their babies. Poor maternal, reproductive and child health are major contributors to ill-health worldwide, leading to more than 13 million deaths each year. The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine's Centre for Maternal, Reproductive and Child Health will unite researchers, students and practitioners to address these problems.
