The coral reef beneath this trapeze is part of an exhibition of extraordinary crochet being held at Trinity College Dublin's Science Gallery. The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef is described as an "exploration of the complex beauty of nature and the fragility of our underwater ecosystem". Its aim is both to showcase the geometry of coral and to encourage artists and scientists to work together to defend corals against the threat of global warming "through a mathematical odyssey into climate change". The exhibition will run until 11 June.
