Newcastle arrives home-from-home

Six students from Newcastle University have completed a 50,000km overland expedition to Newcastle, Australia. The Newcastle2Newcastle group started its journey last April and travelled to Australia in two Land Rovers via Eastern Europe, India, China and Indonesia.

Working with charities and local organisations, the students distributed clothes in rural Romania, transported books to a remote monastery school in northern India and delivered essential provisions to flood victims in Bangladesh.
