Miss England bows out of Nigeria boycott

Oxford Brookes University student Danielle Luan, recently crowned "Miss England", intends to take part in the Miss World finals in Nigeria, despite being urged to boycott the event.

Several finalists have agreed to pull out of the event in protest at the death sentence imposed on Amina Lawal, who is due to be stoned to death for giving birth outside wedlock. Ms Luan (pictured) has reportedly said she plans to attend the event and condemn the action from the stage.
