Bournemouth University has launched a new centre for postgraduate medical research and education. Based in the School of Health and Social Care, it is a collaboration between the university and the National Health Service in Poole, Bournemouth and across Dorset. Gail Thomas, the dean of school, said: "There are many people in the hospitals and the wider NHS who want to do research and developmental work but don't know where to start. This centre gives them some focus."
