The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has opened the UK's first inner-city green technology research centre. London South Bank University's Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings will provide students with hands-on experience of how low-carbon technologies work in real buildings, as well as providing evidence of what works. The multimillion-pound facility is a partnership with City University London and Kingston University and has been designed to cater for a range of audiences, from school children to experienced engineers.
