A £2.1 million centre for engineering excellence for design and motorsport engineering students has opened at the University of the West of Scotland. Students will have access to industry-standard equipment. The principal, Seamus McDaid, said the centre would offer design, prototyping and manufacturing services for many applications including medical and sports equipment.
