Illuminating alumni

Not content with asking alumni to dig deep, Imperial College London is trying to enlist old boys and girls for propaganda purposes too.

A letter went out last week begging them all to write to Westminster City council in support of the university's plans to knock down the ugly towering Linstead and Southside halls of residence and replace them with shiny new student accommodation. Presumably old students will be explaining how their undergraduate love lives could have been improved by nicer bedrooms...
