Purpose: to promote interaction between biological and non-biological scientists in addressing research topics directly related to improving human health. Value of awards: £50,000 per annum to cover salary, equipment and consumable components. Duration: two years. Tenable at recognised academic institutions in the Republic of Ireland. At least one applicant should hold a full-time academic post in an Irish university or college and be actively engaged in research on a relevant health research topic.

Applications must be made on the form provided and should reflect a multi-disciplinary research approach involving biological and non-biological scientists working on a collaborative research project. Applications will be assessed on the quality of the research programme and the degree of interdisciplinarity. Application forms are available on the website.
