General Research Grants

The Leakey Foundation funds research into human origins. General Research Grants are awarded twice annually and priority for funding is given to the exploratory phases of promising new research projects.

The majority of the Foundation's General Research Grants to doctoral students are in the $3,000-$13,500 range; however, larger grants, especially to post-doctoral students and senior scientists, may be funded up to $22,000.
