First officers graduate from Ulster course

Forty student officers in the new Police Service of Northern Ireland graduated today from a unique mandatory training course at Ulster University.

The 20-week certificate in police studies is the only course of its kind in the United Kingdom. It gives students the option of moving on to study for a diploma during the remainder of their two-year probation period.
