Exploiting Genomics

As part of the recent UK Government investment of £110M for post genomics the BBSRC wishes to encourage the application of post genomic research in areas underpinning innovation, prosperity and the improvement in the quality of life.

Proposals are invited which combine genomic approaches with advanced research in science or engineering, to address research problems of relevance to the needs of end users and/or to develop innovative post genomic technologies which underpin this aim. It is important to encourage collaborations between life scientists and physical scientists and engineers, and applications in this area will be considered jointly with the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council.
