The European University Association (EUA) conference 'research training as a key to a Europe of knowledge' will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 28 to 30 October.
The event will focus on the key role universities must play in research and development, innovation, and knowledge creation and transfer at regional, national, European and international level. Specific issues to be explored will include the changing skills and competencies required by researchers, and the evolving role of doctoral training and the function of mobility.
Speakers for the conference are drawn from the European Commission, national government, academia and the private sector.
