John Brooks, vice-chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University, has been appointed the new chair of the Equality Challenge Unit. He will replace Janet Finch. Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of the Equality Challenge Unit, said: "I would like to thank Janet for her support and leadership over the past six years and look forward to working with John on our exciting new agenda."
