Three online health programmes designed by academics are to be trialled across Merseyside and Cheshire NHS trusts in a bid to improve patient care. The online modules, created by Edge Hill University's Faculty of Health and Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, include courses in areas such as chemotherapy treatment and "spiritual health". NHS North West will be the first authority to use the packages, and it is hoped that the resources will be rolled out nationally after the first year.
