The Open University has been allocated 500 of 775 new training places aimed at tackling the shortage of secondary school teachers in key subjects. Students will be able to do flexible postgraduate courses leading to qualified teacher status.
Luton University's e-business team has won European funning of more than £1million for three projects. They are: an online training system of internet marketing for small and medium businesses; vocational training in information and communication technologies; and the third will be a European masters in e-business.
