Dearing of course

Ever get the feeling that higher education is actually run by about half a dozen people, all wearing about four hats apiece? Delighted to be awarded an honorary degree by Trinity College of Music, former Higher Education Funding Council for England chief Graeme Davies was even more pleased to discover that the presentation was to be made by the day's guest-of-honour, the ubiquitous Sir Ron Dearing.
