Documents and photographs charting the development of photography from a gentlemanly pursuit to a mass popular pastime have been donated jointly to the British Library and De Montfort University. The Kodak Ltd Archive dates back more than 120 years and offers primary material for historians and researchers of the history of photography. De Montfort will launch a masters degree in photography history and practice this year.
