Bournemouth University has recovered £770,000 of the £1 million it was forced to write off after a botched property deal.
In 2003, plans to develop a town-centre campus were aborted after it emerged that the council was planning a road through the site. Bournemouth said it had "reached a settlement" with an unnamed business partner.
