Intas is an independent international association formed by the European Community, European Union's member states and like-minded countries acting to preserve and promote the scientific potential of the Intas partner countries through East-West scientific cooperation.

Open Call
Indicative budget: €15m
Joint research projects and networks related to condensed matter, plasma, radio and material physics, optics and quantum electronics, life sciences and earth sciences.

Thematic call on polluted environment
Indicative budget: €1.75m
Joint research projects covering different aspects of research and development in new approaches to clean the environment and prevent pollution.

Thematic call on nanoscale materials and structure
Indicative budget: €1.75m
Joint research projects dedicated to nanoscale materials & structures, nanobiology, nanophysics/biology interface, and technology assessment, socioeconomic & ethical implications of nanotechnology.

Full details and guidelines on the submission procedure are included in an information package that can be downloaded from the Intas website, or requested from the Intas office. Although proposals can be submitted by post, scientists are encouraged to use the internet submission procedure. Proposals must be submitted by 28 September 2001, 12H00 Central European Time.
