British Academy

This scheme is aimed at distinguished senior scholars who have already published works of distinction in their field, and who have a major programme of research which would benefit from an extended period of research leave allowing uninterrupted concentration. The awards are designed to allow the successful candidates to undertake or to complete an approved programme of sustained research, while relieved of their normal teaching and administrative commitments.

It is expected that three awards will be offered, including at least one in humanities and one in social sciences.
