Alumnus to be proud of No 138 must think the UN system is worth supporting, as he is about to hand it $1 billion. In the International Who's Who Ted Turner is billed as American broadcasting executive and yachtsman. He learnt enough at Brown University to turn his father's poster firm into the CNN broadcasting empire, now merged with Time Warner, and has so much money that he is the largest private landowner in the US and his wife, Jane Fonda, has stopped going out to work. Sadly for Robert Stevens (above), there is no evidence despite the Brown link that he spent a year of his student career at Pembroke College, Oxford.
