Teesside University and Teesside Archives have joined forces to apply for funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to save the British Steel Archive, a collection of historical documents and artefacts relating to the company. Due to lack of funds, the archive remains uncatalogued and therefore inaccessible to local people, family historians and academic researchers.
