COLLEGE OF PRECEPTORS Brendan Callaghan, principal of Heythrop College, University of London, has been made an honorary fellow of the college.

UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE Deborah Howard, faculty of architecture and history of art, has been made an honorary fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.

UMIST Nigel Collier, department of language engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, has been awarded a Toshiba fellowship, in recognition of his work on neural networks to help computers in English-Japanese translation.

INSTITUTE OF LOGISTICS Kumar Bhattacharyya, professor of manufacturing systems and founder/director of the Warwick manufacturing group at the University of Warwick, has been awarded an honorary fellowship.
