COLLEGE OF LAW Nigel Savage, dean of Nottingham law school, has been appointed chief executive at the College of Law, succeeding Richard Holbrook on his retirement.

UNIVERSITY OF READING Graeme Rainey, former assistant curate in Maltby, Rotherham,appointed Anglican chaplain, in succession to Peter Jenner.

UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH Norma Reid, professor of health sciences and pro vice chancellor, Coventry University, has succeeded Michael Gillett as deputy vice chancellor.

TRAFFORD PARK manufacturing INSTITUTE Julie Madigan, former project manager with Ciba UK's pharmaceutical division, has been appointed chief executive.

MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY Michael Driscoll, professor and former dean of the business school, has been appointed deputy vice chancellor (resources).

QUEEN MARGARET COLLEGE, EDINBURGH Joan Stringer, assistant principal at Robert Gordon University, has been appointed principal, following the retirement of Donald Leach.
