OXFORD UNIVERSITY. David Turton, honorary research fellow at the University of Manchester, has been appointed director of the Refugee Studies Programme.

ROYAL INSTITUTION OF CHARTERED SURVEYORS

Derek Nicholls, lecturer at the University of Cambridge, has been appointed principal of the Wilson Centre, where he succeeds Wally Kumar.

Roger Ashby, former director of business development for a London-based oil company, has been appointed managing director of Southampton Innovations Ltd.

LABOUR RELATIONS AGENCY

Desmond Rea, emeritus professor at the University of Ulster, has been appointed chairman of the agency from February 1, 1996 to January 31, 1999.

King's College LONDON

Daniel Greenstein, head of the arts faculty technological resources unit at the University of Glasgow, has been appointed director of the executive of the arts and humanities data service based at King's College London.

John Gardner, fellow and tutor in law at Brasenose College, Oxford, has been appointed reader in legal philosophy.
