More Frank debate 3

October 31, 2003

There must be an awkward atmosphere at Kent, where the sociology department seems to have employed two professors called Frank Furedi.

One is the Furedi who wrote that nice article (Men who juggle campus and Pampers, THES , October 24) about how we should be sensitive to the emotional and personal demands of fatherhood. I bet he cannot bear to be in the same room as his macho counterpart, who explained in the previous issue that people who go on about their emotional and personal difficulties are a bunch of wasters.

This, I guess, explains why the two are never seen together.
