"The question is whether God is more probable than Russell's teapot. There may be good reasons to say yes. If so, they will be scientific ones. Let's hear them," says Richard Dawkins (Soapbox, October 29). No, sorry, Richard, they won't be scientific. If that's what you're waiting to hear, you won't. No science can explain a sense of the numinous, as any lover will tell you.
