The successful candidate, in addition to teaching typically two modules/courses per year (i.e. one per semester), will provide leadership in curriculum development and enhancing our research profile at the international level. They are expected to assume administrative responsibilities based on their experience. RESEARCH FUNDING SUPPORT The university provides every new faculty member with Research Development Fund to encourage them to initiate research projects. The university will also support all faculty members to apply for national, province and city level programs. LJMU supports the design of buildings and structures by quantifying potential waste and incorporating biomaterials using locally available resources, leveraging its expertise in engineering characterisation of construction materials, on-site and lab-based testing, computational modelling, and project sustainability evaluation with carbon tools. We are now looking for a Research Assistant in the School of Engineering and Built Environment. You will be self-motivated with a proven track record on engineering knowledge on building and infrastructure development needs aligned with SDGs and experienced on working in a team environment. You will be able to raise the profile and promote the activities of the project. You will assess and enhance the resilience of regional and European supply chains for zero-cement concrete production. You will optimise zero-cement concrete material compositions utilising regional resources. In addition, you will conduct thorough testing of geopolymer synthesis and bacteria-based self-healing systems and perform a variety of durability tests on concrete samples. University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow in Chemical Engineering (OUTSOURCED) in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering. Your Responsibility The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research team in conducting academic research and essential support functions, including literature searches, drafting proposals, translation, conducting surveys, performing analyses and tests, and drafting manuscripts/reports.
