Position Details  Continuing | Full-Time Higher Education Officer Level 7 | $100,233 - $110,954 p.a.  Location: Bedford Park  View Position Description  About Information and Digital Services Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more. About the Role  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the operations and continuous improvement of the University’s identity management service – a collection of vendor solutions and custom application code that provides automated user registration, provisioning, authentication, access governance and compliance functionality for the University’s student, staff, and affiliate population. The role works closely with other practitioners and teams to ensure continuous identity management service improvement. Some of the key position responsibilities of the role are: Troubleshooting the operation of the University’s identity management platform (comprising Okta/SailPoint Identity Now/Entra ID/Dell Boomi/Active Directory and custom-developed utilities). Assisting with deployment and integration of new identity management capabilities within implementation teams of varying size, comprising IDS staff, business representatives, and resources from third party suppliers. Interfacing with University stakeholders and customers for identity services, ensuring their requirements are well understood and incorporated into the identity management services and initiatives. Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to the activities being undertaken by the role in line with IDS and Flinders University policies and procedures. About You  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be an experienced specialist, possessing excellent technical management and support skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve user provisioning issues across integrated applications, and the University’s identity management platform. You will be assisting with writing technical and user documentation, as well as conducting system testing that enhance the identity service. You are a driven professional with a growth mindset. You are passionate about fostering a positive culture in the workplace and can work independently and as part of a close-knit team. You have the ability to work under pressure and build relationships with various stakeholders across the University. Previous Identity Services employment/experience along with coding, scripting and system admin is highly desirable. As a Senior Scientist in this position, you will be part of the Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics Group around Professor Bernadett Weinzierl. The Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics (AEP) Group at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna combines highly-sophisticated laboratory, ground-based and aircraft experiments with innovative modelling to study the fundamental physical and chemical properties of aerosol particles and clouds. Current research focuses on related but different areas of aerosol science and covers the whole size spectrum from the nano- to the microscale. We are looking for a motivated Senior Scientist to extend our team.  The position is limited to the duration of an employee's absence due to parental part-time employment (July 2027). If the employee is not returning full time, the position can be extended by mutual agreement. Your future tasks: You will be involved in unique ground-based and airborne research projects in collaboration with top scientific institutions such as NASA and NOAA as well as large-scale aircraft measurement campaigns (e. g. SABRE, INSPYRE, and others). You will be in the field for large-scale aircraft measurement campaigns including SABRE, INSPYRE, and others (typically several weeks per year). Your research will focus on airborne in-situ observations of coarse mode aerosols and clouds. You will contribute to the organization and implementation of ground-based and airborne field campaigns. You will develop novel methods e.g. for the calibration of in-situ aerosol cloud probes including a droplet generator, and analyze data from airborne and ground-based field experiments. You will independently teach courses as defined by the collective agreement, and contribute to the (co-) supervision of students. You will contribute to the success and self-organization of the group for research, help with some administrative tasks and participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance. You will contribute to outreach by international publications, conference presentations and public activities.
