Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), a business school established in 1964, forms one of the four faculties at Lancaster University, whose campus is south of the city of Lancaster. The business school is one of only a few in the world to hold quadruple accreditation, with the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Small Business Charter in the UK, the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) in Europe, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in America It offers study at all levels, bachelor degrees, MBAs, PhDs, and executive education for those already with experience. LUMS has worked in partnerships with many companies, such as AstraZeneca, British Airways, and BAE systems, as well as public sector organisations such as the NHS and the UK Cabinet Office. Several postgraduate programmes include modules designed and delivered by employers, including Deloitte, IBM, Accenture and Cisco. The school’s undergraduate degrees are partnered with Ernst & Young, allowing students to do two periods of paid work experience with the company. Research centres at LUMS include the Centre for Consumption Insights, the Centre for Productivity and Efficiency, and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. Many LUMS students participate in Lancaster University’s international exchange programme, doing Study Abroad programmes with partner universities in countries including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Malaysia, Holland, Spain, France and Germany. About the Role The Senior Service Delivery Specialist leads the coordination of IDS services at the Flinders City Campus, ensuring consistent and effective support throughout the year. This hands‑on role offers a genuine step into leadership. Description We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in sociology, social psychology, computational social science, computer science, information science, data science, or a closely related field. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Mario D. Molina, Minsu Park, and Blaine Robbins. The collaborative research will be large-scale analyses of digital traces (e.g., Yelp, Airbnb, Stack Exchange) and virtual lab experiments to study how ingroup favoritism and group boundaries coevolve in multiplex communities; how attribute- and opinion-based cues shape insider/outsider categorization, intergroup relations, and social cohesion; and how to design interventions that promote inclusivity, fairness, and productive discourse online. We seek a candidate with expertise in the following four areas: (1) working with large-scale digital trace data; (2) building and running natural language processing and machine learning workflows; (3) experimental design and causal inference (including virtual lab experiments); and/or (4) network or computational modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in applying these tools to questions of group formation, intergroup relations, and the distribution of resources on online platforms. This is an excellent position for a computational social scientist or a computer/data scientist eager to transition into the social sciences. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. The testbed for the machine learning tools is the question of how planets form in the disks of Intermediate Mass Herbig Ae/Be stars. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing, in collaboration with Dr Whelan and the PhD students, machine learning tools for the handling of the Mauve and MUSE datasets. They will also be expected to lead the research into innovative ways in which the machine learning tools can be valuable in other sectors. The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) invites applications for one (1) full-time academic positions (Teaching and Research stream) in Clinical Veterinary Pharmacology. Depending on qualifications and career track expectations, the appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (with tenure). The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026, or a mutually agreed upon date. The position requires a DVM (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 2 years of veterinary practice experience (any species). The successful candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the ABVMA. Expertise in veterinary clinical pharmacology/toxicology is required. A PhD or specialty board-certification in veterinary clinical pharmacology or veterinary internal medicine is desirable but not required. All applicants should have research experience as demonstrated by publications; successful attainment of external funding is a benefit but candidates with a strong record of internally funded clinical research will also be considered. The research should indicate an interest in veterinary pharmacology/toxicology.
