About the Role The Senior Service Delivery Specialist leads the coordination of IDS services at the Flinders City Campus, ensuring consistent and effective support throughout the year. Working closely with City Campus Services and IDS leadership, you will proactively adapt services based on shifting needs, emerging trends and usage patterns. This hands‑on role offers a genuine step into leadership. While there are no direct reports  With a  focus on operational coordination, you will work collaboratively across multiple teams to deliver integrated, responsive support to staff and students. Please note, because of the nature of this role, remote work is not a viable option and you may be required to work within the City Campus hours of operation, these being Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm. Hours worked may be undertaken on a rostered arrangement. The key responsibilities of this role are: Leading the day‑to‑day operations of the IDS City Campus service. Aligning IT & AV service delivery to City Campus staff and student needs. Engaging in regular consultation and communication with team leads, management, and key stakeholders to ensure effective escalation, alignment, and delivery of campus support services. Providing clear, timely, and customer‑focused advice and support through multiple channels, including in‑person assistance, phone enquiries, emails, meetings, and AV/technology troubleshooting. Contributing to documentation, knowledge‑sharing, and standardisation of processes Identifying opportunities to enhance support services by monitoring incident and problem trends, contributing insights to enterprise risk, service improvement, and compliance activities. For a more detailed list of responsibilities, please view the Position Description About You With a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant technical area, and / or equivalent relevant experience in an IT environment, you have a broad knowledge of ICT frameworks including change control, incident and problem management principles and an understanding of risk management and the interaction of technical systems. You are confident with technology, both general IT and AV, and possess exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.  Keys to success in this role include: Previous success co-ordinating teams within a service delivery context. Description We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in sociology, social psychology, computational social science, computer science, information science, data science, or a closely related field. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Mario D. Molina, Minsu Park, and Blaine Robbins. The collaborative research will be large-scale analyses of digital traces (e.g., Yelp, Airbnb, Stack Exchange) and virtual lab experiments to study how ingroup favoritism and group boundaries coevolve in multiplex communities; how attribute- and opinion-based cues shape insider/outsider categorization, intergroup relations, and social cohesion; and how to design interventions that promote inclusivity, fairness, and productive discourse online. We seek a candidate with expertise in the following four areas: (1) working with large-scale digital trace data; (2) building and running natural language processing and machine learning workflows; (3) experimental design and causal inference (including virtual lab experiments); and/or (4) network or computational modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in applying these tools to questions of group formation, intergroup relations, and the distribution of resources on online platforms. This is an excellent position for a computational social scientist or a computer/data scientist eager to transition into the social sciences. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. The successful applicant will join the star and planet formation research group led by Dr Emma Whelan. This position is part of the CARINA project which is funded through a Research Ireland Frontiers of the Future grant. CARINA stands for Combining Machine Learning with Forefront Astronomical Instrumentation to Probe Intermediate Mass Star Formation. CARINA is focussed on developing case agnostic, multi-sector machine learning tools to efficiently handle datasets generated by integral field spectroscopy and time domain surveys. The testbed for the machine learning tools is the question of how planets form in the disks of Intermediate Mass Herbig Ae/Be stars. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing, in collaboration with Dr Whelan and the PhD students, machine learning tools for the handling of the Mauve and MUSE datasets. They will also be expected to lead the research into innovative ways in which the machine learning tools can be valuable in other sectors.
