Department: Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology – Faculty of M: dicine Deadline: 7 Jun 2026 Start date: June 2026 or later by agreement Job type: part-time Job field: Science and research | Education and schooling The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position Associate Professor for the Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology  (with shorter working hours, 24 hours per week) Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology is a joint department of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University and University Hospital Brno. In addition to providing medical care, it engages in educational, scientific, and research activities. In the field of teaching, the clinic primarily provides practical training in medical disciplines (hematology, oncology, internal medicine) as well as in other healthcare-related fields (embryology, nutritional therapy). This is part of your personality: Background in Optics: Extensive experience with superresolution microscopy and specifically SMLM Expertise in 4Pi microscopy hardware and software General Expectations: Above-average MA or equivalent in a field of study relevant for the respective position. Excellent academic and study record (e.g. FÖP within one year, annual submission of progress reports; outstanding publication record etc.). High level of motivation and commitment to succesfully complete your doctoral studies within the anticipated time frame. Good command of written and spoken English (Cl Level), Collaborative, team-minded and pro-active attitude. High level of written and oral communication skills.
