Teaching for the digital world
We aim to develop business leaders who are globally-oriented, entrepreneurially-minded and analytically-skilled. Our curriculum provides an updated learning experience with data modelling, Python programming and case studies as core elements of the undergraduate curriculum.

• Joint BBA Programmes with leading overseas universities target future business leaders aspiring towards international horizons. There are four programmes with Columbia University, US; three with National Taiwan University, Taiwan; and one with ESSEC Business School, France.
• BBA double major gives students the opportunity for a more wide-ranging education with exposure to multiple areas.
• The CityU Talents Programme is designed for students who excel in their academic achievement and pairs a 3-year Undergraduate Degree with a 1-Year Taught Postgraduate Degree Programme, offering a through train to a professional specialism.

College of Business postgraduate programmes give our students the tools and techniques to transform their business life. We offer a wide range of specialised master’s degree programmes providing a rigorous training in analysis and empirical methodology.  Depending on the experience of the individual student, this offers a gateway to a career in business, a boost to career progression, or a foundation for further academic work.

We offer a range of Executive Degree Programmes specifically designed to give our students the edge at different stages of their business career.

The MBA offers a broad spectrum of experiential learning opportunities and business fundamentals, with five concentrations in accounting, finance, information management, marketing, and supply chain management. Core courses cover managerial decision-making, management information systems, corporate finance, organisational behaviour and leadership.

The EMBA programme gives senior managers the ability to look strategically at their business and the wider business environment and capitalise on opportunities as they arise. The programme focuses on three areas: innovation management, Asia connect and financing strategy. Emerging issues such as crypto assets, family business innovation and succession, modern project management, and climate change are also covered.

The EMBA (Chinese), is designed to explore new business practices in the context of the knowledge economy and China market. The curriculum, aimed at senior executives, is based on five core areas: foundation business studies, business analysis and skills, innovation and cutting-edge business, leadership development, and global vision exploration.

The EMBA+MPA programme aims to develop leaders who excel in both business administration and public administration, and is offered jointly by CityU and Tsinghua University. The 2-year part-time, Chinese medium programme features an overseas capstone project visit to a Belt-and-Road country.

The DBA, a 4-year part-time programme, is designed to address the needs of professional managers, senior executives and business entrepreneurs who are keen to generate new management ideas and practices. It is also designed for those who want to learn and apply advanced research techniques to solve complex real-world business and management problems. There is also an equivalent  DBA programme in a Chinese medium, and another Chinese DBA programme in collaboration with the Fudan University in China

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme consists of a combination of coursework and research work culminating in the submission of a thesis. Besides the PhD, the College admits a limited number of students to MPhil studies.
