Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has a history that dates as far back as 1891. Originally established as a School of Science and Art, the school expanded and became the High Wycombe College of Art and Technology in 1963. Then in 1999 it was granted University College status and was renamed the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. In 2007 its name changed to what it is known as today, Buckinghamshire New University.
Their campuses are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire; Uxbridge, West London and Aylesbury Vale.
They made an investment of £19 million on their campuses, facilities and technologies in 2023.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a range of fields, from nursing and psychology, to aviation, art and design, business and creative media.
Students are able to access the university’s industry connections to gain real-world experience and grow their knowledge and skills to be job-ready once they graduate, as well as benefit from a range of bespoke facilities for different subject areas.

Description The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) at the Division of Science and Mathematics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a highly motivated associate research scientist candidate in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for materials science, with an emphasis on structure-property-relationships, materials optimization, materials under extreme conditions, and generative AI. Candidates must possess substantial experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, specifically in AI-driven materials discovery, machine learning applications for materials, or generative AI related to materials. The successful candidate will independently lead a project focused on developing generative AI models to establish structure-property relationships for materials discovery. This individual will be expected to collaborate closely with the project team and coordinate efforts with experimentalists from the Smart Materials Lab (SML) and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM) at NYUAD. The results of this work are anticipated to be published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at prominent conferences.
