As a Lecturer in Remote Health (Allied Health), you will draw on contemporary professional practice to deliver high‑quality teaching, support students on placement, and engage in research that strengthens evidence‑based practice in rural and remote settings. Working as part of an interprofessional education team, you will collaborate closely with community stakeholders and health education partners across the NT and SA to expand pathways into health professions and support the growth of culturally safe, community‑aligned healthcare education. Facilitate inspiring, evidence-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including placement education and topic coordination. Contribute to high-quality research and evaluation in rural, remote, and Indigenous health, including publications, grant activity, and student research supervision. Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to enhance recruitment, education pathways, and collaborative health initiatives. Support interprofessional workforce development by contributing to allied health programs, expansion activities, and ongoing program quality and accreditation. A developing or established research track record, including publications, grant activity, and an understanding of research–teaching integration. Strong knowledge of rural and remote health issues, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and the ability to practice and communicate in a culturally safe manner. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and a wide range of health professionals. Description The Applied Interactive Multimedia laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated research or postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and validation of material, control systems, and algorithms for next-generation soft haptic actuators and experiences. Note that the research involves significant interactions with collaborators in material science. The developed technologies will be utilized to develop digital twin and soft robot-assisted simulations in the areas of brain machine interaction, wearable haptics, and rehabilitation. The successful applicant will have the following technical experience in: PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering (or related field) OR 3-5 years of industry experience (Research and Development).
