The first plans for a £70 million redevelopment programme to transform the University of Bedfordshire's Luton campus have been submitted for approval. The first phase of the project includes new student accommodation and a new student services centre. If it gets the go-ahead, work will start in March next year. Graham Blake, director of facilities and estates, said: "We have a number of separate buildings, and staff and students have to navigate complex routes to reach their destination. (The redevelopment) will look and feel very different from the current layout and design and will give the university a community feel."
