Part-time (0.4 - 0.6 FTE) 12-month fixed-term role Dynamic opportunity for a Senior Research Psychologist to join the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use is seeking a Senior Research Psychologist to assist with the development and implementation of two clinical trials focused on i) the treatment of alcohol use and anxiety in postpartum mothers and ii) prevention of dating and relationship violence in young people. The Matilda Centre brings together world-leading researchers, clinicians, people with lived experience, and the community to share skills, synergise data, harness new technologies and trial innovative programs to prevent and treat mental and substance use disorders. The position will require you to work 14 - 21 hours per week, working within two project teams - 'Healthy Mum, Healthy Bub', and 'respectED'. Your key responsibilities will be to: develop therapeutic content and resources for a digital program for mothers with concerns about their anxiety and alcohol use during the early parenting period provide clinical telehealth support calls and conduct risk assessment calls with mothers and students work closely with colleagues to optimise client care, participate in meetings, and provide expert consultation conduct other day-to-day research tasks for the two randomised controlled trials as required, including participant recruitment, data management, liaising with web developers, fostering and maintaining effective communication and relationships with trial participants and project staff, and dissemination of findings through reports, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed publications monitor workplace risks, support health and safety initiatives, address compliance issues, and ensure work is completed alongside the ethics, guidelines, and standards of the University's policies and Work Health and Safety requirements undertake ad-hoc tasks, projects, or activities under the guidance of your reporting manager. Description Location Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Research engineer to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. (preferred) or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. Signal Processing: Solid knowledge of channel estimation, channel sounding, and multipath modeling (channel impulse response, frequency response, MIMO models, AoA, AoD, delay, Doppler, etc). RF Systems: Familiarity with RF front-ends, antennas, calibration, synchronization, and over-the-air testing. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, working with researchers and engineers at different seniority levels. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills for preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications. Independence: Proven ability to work independently, from problem formulation, experimental design, and system integration to data analysis and reporting. The Bioprocess Engineering group is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of Biodegradation We are opening a position on postdoctoral research to establish the biodegradation laboratory, connecting Bioproducts and Biotechnology research at Aalto University. The lab will develop next-generation methods to evaluate, understand, and engineer biodegradation of polymers such as plastics, microplastics, and textile-derived materials using microbial systems. This position is ideal for highly independent researchers who aim to build their career at the interface of materials science and microbial biotechnology. Your role This position combines infrastructure building, method development, and hypothesis-driven research, offering the opportunity to shape a flagship biodegradation platform at the interface of Biotechnology and Material science research themes. The role will include designing and standardizing analytical pipelines, quantitative biodegradation assays to validate material-microbe interactions, and tracking polymer degradation. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in biotechnology, enabling them to design new valorization strategies and process scale-up. The position will be filled for a fixed-term period of 1 year, with possibilities for extension. The postdoctoral researcher is also expected to be actively involved in preparing grant proposals to support and expand their research activities. You will also have a chance to instruct Doctoral researchers and Master thesis candidates and develop towards a more independent position. Required qualifications Recently completed PhD (within 2 years) in biotechnology, microbiology, bioproducts engineering, or closely related fields. As part of its vision and mission to explore Syntegrative Education and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) comprises seven Industry-themed Schools and several campus-level platforms. The Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), as one of the cross-campus innovation platforms, serves as the cornerstone for catalysing entrepreneurial learning, applied research, and venture development. EEH is led by a Director and consists of four divisions: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Enterprise and Industry Ecosystem, and Industry Executive Education. This role directly oversees Innovation Factory (ideation-to-solution testing) and X3 Co-Venture (incubation-to-acceleration) – dual engines powering XEC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Role Overview The Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation provides senior strategic leadership for the development, integration, and operational excellence of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture. Reporting directly to the Director of EEH, in collaboration with the XEC Chief Operating Officer and Deans of School, this role drives synergies between both units to advance XEC’s entrepreneurial vision while embedding innovation across academic programmes and external partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, forge cross-functional alliances, and influence institutional strategy to position XEC as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct and provide strategic and operational leadership of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, aligning with EEH’s strategic objectives and XEC-wide priorities. Establish integrated governance frameworks, policies, and operational protocols for both units, incorporating academic, industry, and governmental perspectives. Secure and strategically allocate financial, human, and infrastructural resources to sustain growth and innovation across both units. Provide strategic oversight of budgeting, investment controls, and legal compliance for both units, ensuring fiscal integrity and adherence to university and market policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards. Represent Innovation Factory, X3 Co-Venture, and EEH at national/international forums, government meetings, and industry events to elevate institutional visibility. Qualifications and Experiences Substantial senior-level experience in entrepreneurial education, incubator/accelerator management, or innovation ecosystem development within higher education or comparable settings. Proven success in strategically overseeing multiple business units/projects (e.g., incubators, innovation labs) with integrated performance metrics. Established credibility with academic, industry, and government partners; demonstrated ability to negotiate resources and represent institutions at executive levels. Track record of leading managers and cross-functional teams to deliver complex, institution-wide initiatives. Expertise in securing diversified funding (grants, partnerships, sponsorships) and allocating resources for multi-stakeholder programmes. Extensive active networks with investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurial communities across China and globally.  Expertise in designing governance frameworks, risk-mitigation strategies, and service delivery models for innovation platforms. Job Purpose At SIT's Professional Officers Division, we bring our rich industry experience and technical skills into our work, creating a better physical environment where learning and innovation take place. We work with teaching programmes and innovation projects to improve the skills of our students and to strengthen & energise our industry and the wider community. A Professional Officer has a combination of job responsibilities relating to the following: participate in and manage innovation projects, manage digital technology related resources, and mentor & facilitate student learning. The Centre for Digital Enablement (CoDE) drives the initiatives to elevate digital competencies for academic staff and students within SIT. It works with various stakeholders, both internal and external, in upskilling digital literacy across the organization through literacy programmes and digital innovation projects in relation to the Digital Learning Spaces (DLS). For this role, you will spearhead the various AI enablement programmes in SIT, manage the AI related resources and initiatives within CoDE, and lead AI projects within SIT and with industry partners to support teaching and learning objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering digital literacy courses to undergraduate students and academic staff as part of the institutional drive to ensure our graduates are ready for a highly digitally-enabled workforce. Key Responsibilities AI Enablement Programmes Lead and oversee a range of AI enablement programmes to facilitate the growth of AI skills among SIT undergraduate students and academic staff. Develop an AI Competency Roadmap, providing guidance for SIT undergraduate students and academic staff in developing their AI competencies. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ensuring the continued relevancy and currency of the AI enablement programmes and AI Competency Roadmap.
