Formerly known as Baptist College, Charleston Southern University is based in the town of North Charleston, South Carolina. The institution remains affiliated with the Southern Baptist denomination.
CSU offers over six educational programmes at graduate and undergraduate level. A notable alumni from the political science bachelor’s programme is Tim Scott, the first African American to be elected to both the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
Graduate programmes offered at CSU campus include the Master of Athletic Training, which concludes with an exam to be a certified trainer upon passing. The master of arts in Christian Studies is offered online, and comprises of 36 hours of teaching designed to imbue a student with an understanding and appreciation of scripture, theology and Church history.
CSU athletics teams are known as the Buccaneers, and compete in fifteen sports across men’s and women’s divisions. The men's American football team plays in the NCAA Division I Football Championship, and has an ongoing rivalry with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
The Whitfield Resource Centre is based within the CSU library, and is designed to galvanise Christian values of leadership for its dedicated students. The Careers Centre offers internship opportunities for students wishing to gain experience in a professional environment prior to graduation. Subject to GPA, students can take part in the 120 hours minimum APPLE Programme offered by the Centre.
For those wishing to join a Greek letter organisation, there are six sororities and four fraternities based at the university.

Strong proficiency in Python and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) Strong programming skills in Python/Java/Javascript. Knowledge in LLM, RAG, LangChain would be advantageous. The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) is pleased to announce the opening of one (1), or possibly two (2), full-time academic positions (Teaching stream) in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. Depending on qualifications and career track expectations, the appointments will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (with tenure) in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The anticipated start date June 1, 2026 or a mutually agreed upon date. Position requirements, qualifications, skills and achievements required for the appointment Qualifications include a DVM (or equivalent), and board certification (DACVP and/or Dipl. ECVP) is preferred but board eligible ACVP or ECVP residency-trained candidates will be considered. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor Teaching requires evidence or promise of teaching effectiveness or competency in teaching and learning, an awareness of how to apply scholarly approaches to teaching and learning practices, participation in reflective practice, and professional learning activities related to teaching and learning. Engagement in the research and scholarship required to maintain currency in pedagogy is required. UCVM's AVMA accredited DVM program provides a comprehensive general veterinary education to approximately 50 students per year, with an increased expansion to 100 students this fall 2026 semester.
