Applications are invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 534174), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates for the positions of Professor/ Associate Professor may be considered for appointment on tenure terms, subject to University’s approval. Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a related discipline; (ii) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publication record and external grants; (iii) evidence of international recognition; (iv) a strong record of scholarship with a demonstrated ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; and (v) a strong commitment to engaging students in inquiry-based learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Appointees shall be mapped to relevant departments based on their research disciplines. Depending on the strategic priorities of the hosting departments, they are expected to conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research and attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes; take part in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and supervise research postgraduate students; and perform administrative duties. The appointment rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. A start-up package that is commensurate with the needs and experience of the appointee will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable. About the role King’s College London’s Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre is seeking a Simulation Education Specialist to support the delivery of high-quality, clinically relevant simulation-based education across the Health Faculties. This professional services role acts as a key link between the centre and academic colleagues, helping to translate curricular and clinical requirements into practical, well-designed learning activities that meet recognised standards of simulation practice. You will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and delivering simulation sessions that are educationally sound, operationally feasible, and provide meaningful learning outcomes for students and staff. The post holder will develop, maintain, and manage centre-specific educational resources, documents, and repositories, including exploring opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and resource tracking. By capturing the educational demand from faculties, you will help inform service planning, centre resource development, and potential research initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of simulation-based education across King’s Health Faculties. You will provide guidance on best practice in simulation pedagogy, support faculty colleagues in session design, and ensure all activities comply with quality assurance processes and clinical standards. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering or supporting simulation-based or interactive learning in healthcare or higher education and a strong understanding of clinical practice. You will demonstrate excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills, and be able to make decisions independently while balancing operational constraints and educational objectives. Effective communication and collaboration are essential, as you will work with academic staff, clinical educators, technical teams, and students to ensure smooth delivery and meaningful outcomes. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
