Brussels, 17 Feb 2003

A series of training workshops on the European Commission's cooperative research (CRAFT) projects are taking place on 4 and 5 March in Brussels.

CRAFT is one of the specific measures set up to help European SMEs participate in the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5). The initiative enables SMEs without research facilities to subcontract research to other organisations.

The workshops are intended to provide a platform for SME coordinators to discuss topics ranging from the role of the coordinator and contract practicalities to the consortium agreement and Commission support services.

Special attention will be paid to linking innovation finance and technology and intellectual property rights (IPR) during the two day event.
