After 25 years at Strathclyde University, Colin Wheeler has taken a chair in marketing at Portsmouth University with a brief to expand research capacity.

Professor Wheeler's particular expertise is international marketing. The internationalisation of small and medium-sized high-tech firms and the marketing strategies they develop are among his latest research interests.

"At Portsmouth, part of my brief is to help expand the department, expand research and help to develop the research strategy for the marketing subject group," he said.
