A university is planning what it says will be its "biggest change" in 40 years. The University of the West of England has bought 70 acres of land next to its Frenchay campus and appointed a team of designers and consultants to draft a plan to guide its redevelopment and suggest ways of improving the existing campus over the next 25 years. The university intends to consolidate its Bristol activities on to one major site. Activities at the St Matthias and Glenside campuses are set to be moved to Frenchay but, because of recent investment, the Bower Ashton campus is likely to remain at its current location.
