University of Teesside - First takes

九月 25, 2008

The University of Teesside's new digital TV and sound studio has been put to good use by Das Wanderlust, a band based in the Tees Valley. The £750,000 studio, a collaboration between the university's Institute of Digital Innovation and the School of Computing, is being used to put together a music video to promote the band's new single, Puzzle.

Mark Buschbacher, the studio's video engineer, said: "Our type of equipment is regularly used on many major movies to create effects and is one of the only systems of its type in UK education. We wanted to test the facilities, so when Das Wanderlust approached us we offered them the chance to create the video for no cost. They came up with the storyboard, and it took just one day to shoot. I think we've produced something that's different, colourful and fun to watch."
