University of Salford - Centre of media excellence

A university has become a centre of excellence in television and interactive media. The University of Salford has been declared a Skillset Media Academy, giving students new opportunities to benefit from placements and apprenticeship schemes within the media industry. John Mundy, head of the university's School of Media, Music and Performance, said: "This accreditation is outstanding news for our students and is recognition of our excellent teaching, and of the close relationships we have with the media industry."
