University of Salford - Caring for mind and body

十二月 3, 2009

The psychological consequences of cancer and its treatment are to be explored by a new postgraduate course. The University of Salford is to introduce the MSc in Psycho-Oncology, the first such course in the UK, in February 2010. The programme will focus on the psychological issues experienced by patients and their families as they go through diagnosis and treatment. It will also examine the interventions and resources available to support patients. The three-year, part-time course has been designed for doctors, allied health and social care professionals, nurses and psychologists in acute and community settings, and those working in specialist cancer or palliative care centres.
