University of Nottingham - Sun flare in Spain

Britain is to be represented by the University of Nottingham in a competition to design, build and test Europe's most attractive, effective and energy-efficient zero-carbon solar-powered house. A team of engineering and architecture students from the department of the built environment is taking on 18 universities from around the world in the first Solar Decathlon Europe, which will be staged in Madrid next June. Britain's entry - The Nottingham House - will be constructed at the university and then reassembled in Spain.
