University of Leicester - Paper's out, Twitter's in

Academics at the University of Leicester took part in a paper-free seminar on the uses and abuses of social media via Twitter. Presenters at last week's event - including academics, politicians, journalists and PhD students - worked in a paper-free space, with a blog forming the central communications hub for all information about the day. "It's about time we, as academics, set an example and stopped being wasteful," said event co-ordinator Jennifer Jones.
