University of Leicester - India's final frontier comes closer

Astronautical engineers from India are heading to the University of Leicester to work on their country's first national astronomy satellite. Key components of the satellite, which is named Astrosat, including cameras and detectors, will be assembled at the university's Space Research Centre. Astrosat is critical to the Indian space programme as it is its first satellite dedicated entirely to scientific pursuits.
