Women living in countries with poor public health are attracted to masculine men, according to researchers at the University of Aberdeen. The team investigated the biological theory that women perceive masculine traits as a sign of genetic health in mates. They found that the poorer the public health, the higher the preference among women for men with masculine features, such as bigger jaws and heavier brow lines. The study involved 4,500 women in 30 countries.
